From the Pastor's Desk Last week, I mentioned a number of transitions that were taking place on our parish staff. Since then, we have welcomed our new associate pastor, Father Fulton. We have also welcomed our new office manager, Alma Vera. Both have brought with them a breath of fresh air. I already appreciate their presence at Christ the King.
It turns out that a new religious sister has also arrived at our parish: Sister Karla Archundia, HMSP. Sister Karla joins Sister Neri and Sister Rocio in our convent. Though she was born in Mexico, Sister Karla grew up in New York City. Upon making vows with the Missionary Servants of the Word, she was sent to Vietnam and then the Philippines. She is now with us here in Columbus, Ohio, and we are grateful for her ministry. I am sure she will make a positive impact in our community.
Allow me to highlight some of parishioners who have done work around the parish. Jorge from our Spanish-speaking community power washed a large section of the rectory. He did it simply because it needed done. And Mike from our English-speaking community power washed a large section of the sidewalk in front of the church. He also did it simply because it needed done. I am grateful to Jorge and Mike for their generosity! And I am thankful to all of our parishioners who give of their time, treasure, talent, and testimony to make our community what it is. Thank you for taking care of our church!
May the Lord bless you throughout this week!
