1.) Sign up for Flocknote at https://christtheking35.flocknote.com
2.) If you are already signed up for flocknote, log in to https://christtheking35.flocknote.com and make sure you join the "Christ the King Parish Highlights (English)" group.
To do that, go to the left-hand menu (see the graphic below).
Then, scroll down and click the link that says "Christ the King Parish Highlights (English)".
Select the "join" button at the top of the page to join the group.
3.) Choose whether you would like to receive email or text messages
Flocknote will normally send you either a text message or email, but not both. You get to decide which format you would prefer to receive.
To change your preference to email or text message, click on the purple bell icon on the left side menu bar. You will be directed to a page that looks like this:
If you would like to receive only email updates
Click the envelope icon (for email) and make sure it is highlighted blue (see the graphic above) and deselect the mobile phone icon (for text messages) and make sure it's gray.
If you would like to receive only text message upates
Click the mobile phone icon and make sure it is highlighted blue and then, deselect the envelope icon and make sure it's gray.
What if I select both icons?
If you select both the email icon and the text message icon, your default will be set to email. This means you will normally receive emails and not text messages (unless there's an emergency or extentuating circumstance where we would send to out a text-only message to the entire parish). This is the recommended setting if you wish to receive email notifications.
What about the other icons?
The other telephone icon (the traditional looking phone) is not a service we are offering at this time. When the conversation (chat icon) is selected and highlighted blue, it means you would like to receive email updates from the group if someone comments publicly.
4.) Make sure you hit save!
5.) You can repeat the steps above for any other parish groups you'd like to receive information from.
Note: Some parish groups, such as PSR classes, are not open to the whole parish. Also, keep in mind that some groups will communicate more regularly than others do. As times goes on we hope to use flocknote more and more for our parish groups.
